Hello, every buddy, this is Jeff etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at the CURT Adapter Rails for The Fifth Wheel Hitch on your Dodge Ram Towing Prep Packages. Now, this is a custom fit part. It is designed to fit the 2014 and newer Dodge Ram trucks that have The Factory Fifth Wheel Towing Prep Package. And in a custom fit part like this I do like to recommend for you to go to our website use the fit guide, put it in your year model vehicle and it'll show you if this will work for your application. Now, this is a custom base that is specifically designed to attach to the receivers that are in your Dodge Ram Factory Installed Underbed Fifth Wheel Towing Prep Package.
Once installed the space will provide the industry standard base rails. That'll accept most Fifth Wheel Fixed Leg Hitches and Fifth Wheel Slider Hitches. If I zoom in here just to show you on the tubes here you can see the slots on the cross tube. These are designed to accept the tabs that's on your Fifth Wheel Hitch. So you just drop it right into those slots and then secure it with the pins in the clips.
It is compatible with BMW Curved Demco, Draw-Tight, Hidden Hitch, Husky, and Reese Fifth Wheel Hitches. Now this does also use a quarter turn anchoring system on each corner here for quick installation and removal. And just to show you how you do that. When you go to install this into your Underbed Towing Prep Package as your first do, pop this clip off and that'll release the handle here. All you do is rotate that handle of a quarter of turn.
You can see when you rotate it this tab down here is turning and you'll do this on all four corners. Once they're open like that, drop it into the Underbed System and then rotate your handles back and those cabs will lock it into place. And then to secure it, take your pin slide it back through the post there and it holds that handle from opening and again, you'll do that on all four corners also what's nice, these anchors right here, these are adjustable they'll help eliminate any chucking between the legs and the Underbed Platform. So if it's too tight, you can take out the cutter pin here and then loosen it up. If it's too loose, you can take out that cutter pin and tighten it down.
So it is adjustable, but it's very easy to install, very easy to remove. Now it is protected by a highly durable carbide black powder coat finish on it. Again the application we mentioned is Dodge Ram trucks with the Factory Installed Underbed Towing Prep Package. Capacity on this is 25,000 pounds gross towing weight capacity, 6,250 pounds vertical load capacity. Now you do wanna be aware that the capacity is limited to the lowest rated towing component on your vehicle. I bought a 2023 Ram 3500 that had the factory pucks in it, so I needed this adapter so I could continue using my B&W Patriot hitch. This fit my truck perfectly and my hitch fits this adapter perfectly. Even better than it fit the rails in my old truck, actually. This does raise the hitch probably an inch higher that it was, so be aware of that. One part of the instructions is out of order. How to adjust the locking mechanism is at the very end. You need to adjust each one as you go. Other than that, it was very intuitive and easy to put together. I did use a little blue Loctite on the nuts, but that's me. This thing is beefy. I'm sure it will last a long time.

The hitch adapter has worked out well. It’s great that Curt gives you an option to buying a new fifth wheel hitch when buying a new vehicle. Only pulled it out once. It’s an extra step removing it but no big deal.
I decided to order this adapter because I bought a new truck and wanted to use the 5th wheel I had. Fred at etrailer was a tremendous help. He took the time to go through everything and find the right one and explained it all very well. Believe me, I was very skeptical on ordering but Fred assured me this would work on my 2025 Ram. I was pleasantly shocked when I got it and everything went right into place. Very easy to install. Thank you so much Fred for all of your help!!

Easy to install, took me about 45 minutes. Be sure to put your hitch in place before tightening the 8 bolts. It does sit pretty high so will need to adjust 5th wheel hitch to accommodate the extra height when compared to the older style bed rails.
I have a Curt A16 5th wheel hitch and a Curt gooseneck plate. Both of these fit perfectly. Definitely much cheaper than having to buy new 5th wheel hitch and new gooseneck ball for the puck system. Saved me about $1400
Not very happy with this product. With the hitch mounted to this rail, you could feel the play between the rail and the hitch every time I braked or accelerated I ended up selling it at a severe loss. It will get you out of a bind, but if you are looking at this for long term, just buy the hitch made for the puck system.
Works great, heavy duty as you would expect from Curt. Installed this on my new truck with a Curt R20 slider and Curt A20 hitch head. Installation was easy and eTrailer delivery time was great as usual.
I have only had it installed, I have not towed with it yet that's why ony 4 Stars. Installation went very well and fast.
Took about 15 minutes to install. Heavy duty. Can't wait to pull with is

Just got back from trip that I pulled 5th wheel 7800 miles. No problem with adapter rails. Only problem is top of hitch is about top of bed. I can used my bed cover with hitch mounted it truck bed.
Fits like a glove. From the time UPS dropped it off it took 45 minutes to have it installed in the truck and we were hooked up to go camping, which we did! Thanks to the team for getting it shipped asap! 2020 Ram 2500 with the factory puck system.

Love the unit, strong and reliable, only reservation, unit is hard to remove from truck bed? I'm guessing, you need to aggressively remove? Otherwise, great product. Thank you
etrailer always makes it easy to order. Shipping was fast and surprisingly the shipping company didn’t damage the box to bad. Bitch fit perfectly without any complications. It is heavy yes but seems very durable.
Easy instalation, seems to work good. Does add a little to your hitch height though.

it fit perfectly in my RAM 2500 2022 , it reduce the height by 3.5 inch from my original roller Curt set up, since I have air suspension in the back I will simply said be careful when you disconnect because the back of the pick up spring upward when load is removed. The reason I switch was the high of the roller sytem and the puck was way too high for my fifth wheel.

After 1 season the product still perform as new ,easy to removed from the bed if you need the full pick up boxe .quality is as expected it spend the winter installed and do received some snow ounce in a while but no sign of rust

Installation was a breeze but don’t know the ride feel until it’s attached to the RV. Everything fit perfectly and strong and sturdy. I will update this review after this Friday if the ride is less than expected. So far I would recommend it
Easy install fits great. My Demco 5th wheel hitch installed perfectly into rails.
This Curt puck adapter rail puck system works perfectly. I wanted to put on a PullRite hitch and it fit on perfectly. The only problem i had was dumb dumb put the pucks on backwards so you need to notice the front and back pucks are a different size. Once i got that switched around i was so happy.
I appreciate the heavy construction and it was a perfect fit for my truck and hitch.

It is a lot heavier than I thought it would be but that just proves to me how sturdy it is for it’s intended use.
This worked well and allowed me to adapt my older 5th wheel to my newer truck.
Great solution when moving to a truck with the puck system. This was cheaper than buying rails,brackets, and install costs, and when removed the bed is clean.
Product was delivered in a sturdy container. Already have towed with it and everything worked as it should. No concerns at all with this product.

Still working great. At some point, Ill probably get a hitch that sits in the pucks, but for now Im satisfied.
